How to choose the best lights for your home
The best lighting for your home depends on how each room is used, as well as the mood you want to create. Start with colour temperature. Warm white lighting around 2700 to 3000K works well in bedrooms, living rooms and other relaxing spaces, while cooler light can be more practical in kitchens and bathrooms.
Brightness matters too. Living and sleeping areas generally need softer light, while spaces used for cooking, working or getting ready benefit from brighter illumination. When choosing fittings, think about both the amount of light you need and where it will fall in the room.
